Schedule: 12‑hour shifts, Days/Nights, collaborative scheduling within the department Pay Range: $38.00 - $48.00 (based on experience) Benefits Health, dental, vision insurance Tuition reimbursement up to $6000 per year Contribution and match on Retirement Plan Five weeks paid time off Access to Success coaches Free parking Company culture: Empowerment, interdisciplinary teams, executive leadership with RN background Focus on CARES values: Commitment, Action, Respect, Excellence, Service Focus on employee wellness: biometric screenings, wellness programs, onsite gym, Zen Room, Community Shared Agriculture program Staff recognition platforms: Shining Stars, CARESCount website Required Job Specific Competencies Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to respiratory care Understand disease processes and their impact on the cardiopulmonary system Possess technical skills in equipment operation related to respiratory care Demonstrate skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for best-practice care and outcomes Exhibit flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments Function as a team member, relaying clear and concise communication to ensure optimal patient care Guard confidentiality of sensitive information Exhibit the CARES values in all interactions Key Responsibilities Performs basic and advanced respiratory care procedures (90%) Perform all modalities in a timely fashion according to policy and procedure Clean, process, troubleshoot equipment Perform patient assessments and recommend changes to therapy based on evidence Respond courteously and quickly to calls for service from internal and external customers Respond quickly to Code calls per policy and procedure Communicate care needs clearly and effectively to coworkers and team members Accurately record all productivity Document all patient interventions in Epic or using downtime process Document appropriately in supporting records such as the EMAR Perform complete and correct billing entry to ensure accurate representation of services Perform additional duties within scope of responsibility as required (5%) Maintain health/education records and skills as required by licensure and system (5%) Qualifications Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Licensed or has valid permit as a Respiratory Therapist by New York State Education Department Office of the Professions Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required within three months of start date Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required within one year of start date Graduate of a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy program – Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Bachelor of Science (BS) required Current Respiratory Therapy experience preferred New graduates may be hired into a Respiratory Therapist position pending determination by the director EOE encouraging individuals with disabilities and veterans to apply #J-18808-Ljbffr UR Thompson Health
