Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel- RN- NICU (671)/ 7P-7A/ 13 weeks (1027525) Unit Information: ( insert name ) Location: HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast Address: 4000 Spencer Hwy Pasadena, TX 77504 Floor: 2nd floor Building: General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds - 25 · Number of Staff – 41 · Type of staff: o Day Shift – 1 CNC, RNs depend on volume for the shift; 1 Unit Secretary Mon-Fri o Night Shift – 1 CNC, RNs depend on volume for the shift · Patient Ratios – Level 2 (1:2-3) Level 3 (1:3-4) · Type of equipment - · EMR – Meditech Expanse Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Recent NICU experience, including care of premature and critically ill neonates · Competency with neonatal respiratory support, IV/central line management, medication administration, and neonatal monitoring Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Level III/IV NICU experience and high-risk delivery attendance · Experience with ventilators, CPAP, high-frequency ventilation, PICC/UVC/UAC lines, and neonatal resuscitation List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Neonatal resuscitation, respiratory support, feeding tube placement, IV/central line care, and blood draws · Phototherapy, medication/infusion administration, thermoregulation, and management of critically ill neonates Best personality Fit: · Calm under pressure, compassionate, detail-oriented, team-focused, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively with families REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · Active RN license, BLS, and NRP; additional certifications per facility requirements Floating Area(s): · Mother-Baby/Postpartum About HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA At HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, healthcare is not just about the four walls of a facility but about the people who provide and receive care.
