The Associate Category Manager will manage a segment of the Diversified Components category within the North America region. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development into Category Management.What you will do:Collaboration: Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality;Partner with business unit Procurement teams to efficiently transition suppliers as needed; Support region/sector New Product Development (NPD) Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs.Negotiations: Support negotiations and supplier selection; accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance.Cost Management: Responsible for delivering category productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects.Supplier Management: Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within category; Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.Risk Management: Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance.What you will bring:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field.2+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, ex: consulting, purchasing / buyer, and/or analyst experience.Ability to assess vendors and demonstrated negotiating skills.Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions and strong conflict resolution skills.Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:$72,611.66 - $101,394.99Compensation Type: SalaryIncentive Eligible: NoSales Commission Eligible: NoThrive at work and at home:Benefits kick in on DAY ONE for you and your family, including health insurance and holistic wellness programs that include generous incentives – WE DARE TO CARE!Family building benefits include fertility coverage and adoption/surrogacy assistance.401K match up to 6%, plus an additional 2% core contribution = up to 8% company contribution.Paid time off includes 15 vacation days, 9 paid holidays, 3 floating holidays, sick leave, and additional options to support volunteer and parental leave.Educational and training opportunities through company programs along with tuition assistance and student debt support.Disclaimer: Benefit offerings may vary depending on Collective Bargaining Agreements and local/state regulations.Safety Sensitive Role: NoThe company designates certain roles as Safety Sensitive.
