Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant provides rehabilitative services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, and functionality. They work closely with patients to implement customized treatment plans and monitor progress.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the physical therapist in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and report progress.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies.
• Adhere to all safety and confidentiality protocols during patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Physical Therapy Assistant license or credential.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in a SNF or similar setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
