Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Cardiac Progressive Care)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekend rotation required; holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac progressive care patients with a primary focus on conditions including Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, arrhythmias, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization (with and without intervention), rule-out myocardial infarction, syncope, and pacemaker placement
• Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips; administer procedural sedation; and monitor patients on external CPAP/BiPAP
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; perform telemetry monitoring on the unit with remote oversight from a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department
• Maintain and manage peripheral lines, PICC lines, and chest tubes (Emerson and Pleur-evac); provide tracheostomy management as needed
• Provide secondary care for respiratory patients including those with COPD, pneumonia, and BiPAP requirements
• Participate in a 6-week self-assisted scheduling process through Optilink, with assignments distributed based on departmental need, patient work intensity, skill mix, and previous assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; Cardiac PCU experience required
• Comfort with patient ratios of 1:5 (1:4 with drips/BiPAP)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam prior to start (2 attempts allowed)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address
• No open background check cases permitted; third-party education verification required
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application — no post-submission RTO accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Experience with Rapid Response Teams preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
