The goal of our internship program is to give students the opportunity to learn about the commercial construction industry, explore a variety of career paths in construction management including: Project Management, Estimating, Trades, and Field Operations (Superintendent). List of Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Basic understanding of project drawings and specifications. Basic understanding of construction activities / scheduling timelines. Basic understanding of skillset/trades required to complete construction activities. Basic understanding of safety requirements of commercial construction. Basic understanding of Superintendent Daily reports & importance of these documents. Observe the process for updating drawings & specifications (RFI, ASI, etc). Observe Project Quality Control (Pre-Installation Meetings, Mock-ups, coordination, etc.). Become familiarized with Meyer Najem job site procedures. Observe weekly Foreman/Superintendent meetings on site. Observe OAC (Owner/Architect/Contractor) Meetings.
