ClinicianReports to: Clinical Program Manager, Interim HousingProgram: 3001-Lancaster Interim HousingLocation: Kensington Campus - 45244 32nd St West, Lancaster, CA 93536Setting: 100% OnsiteSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pmStatus: Full-time/Non-Exempt/Non-ManagementBenefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, 403(b) Retirement plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), etc.Openings: 1Summary: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Clinician will conduct psychotherapy with adult members that have severe and persistent mental illness in the office, member's homes, the field, or interim housing facility. The Clinician's primary responsibilities are to engage members and to coordinate mental health and recovery services that will ensure housing stability and community integration. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality provision of direct individual and group therapeutic and case management services while fostering teamwork among staff and across departments and programs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide, coordinate, and implement mental health and recovery support services with individual members.Conduct individual and group psychotherapy and document services using Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Medi-Cal guidelines.Develop effective, trusting relationships with members, with a focus on facilitating independence and maintenance of improved physical and mental health.Collaborate with each member to develop their individual service plan; review and update it upon completion of goals.Assist management and other Clinicians with program evaluation and modification for future program improvements and growth.Assist members with becoming involved in daily activities, socialization, health maintenance, sense of community, and progress in recovery reflecting of The People Concern's model which emphasizes customer choice, harm reduction, and psychosocial rehabilitation.Work cooperatively and cohesively with other members of the Kensington Campus, including participation in weekly staff meetings, group clinical supervision and trainings.Develop and maintain a complete, accurate, and current member file with all funder-required documents.Provide and assist in crisis intervention services which may include after hours.Qualifications:Master's degree in Social Worker, Psychology, or a related field of study from an accredited university.Valid registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.Current, valid California Driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle.Able to transport members in your vehicle.Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills.Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and computer skills.Preferred Qualifications:Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database applications.Experience working with those living with mental illness and/or substance addictions.Experience completing DMH documentation.Bilingual SpanishWork Environment:Combination of field and office environment.Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and occasionally lift or carry up to 35lbs.On occasion walk or drive members to local sites.Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments.May be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor.May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day.Expected Behaviors of All Staff:Act as a role modelDemonstrate a sense of responsibilityContinuously learn and improveAcknowledge your own areas of improvementHear and provide honest, specific and direct feedbackCreate an environment where everyone is welcomed valued and respectedCollaborateEqual Opportunity EmployerThe People Concern is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to non-discrimination in employment.
