Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working full-time in a Middle School Resource Room setting. This position is designed for educators who have a passion for supporting diverse learners and driving student achievement. The schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 3:30pm, providing a consistent routine that allows meaningful connections with students.
Your expertise will play a vital role in fostering student growth and creating an inclusive classroom environment. Utilize your skills to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and facilitate academic and social success for your students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with middle school students in a resource or self-contained setting.
- Strong grasp of IEP development, progress monitoring, and accommodations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Passion for motivating students and advocating for their educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction based on individual student goals.
- Develop, implement, and review IEPs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
- Foster a supportive classroom climate that embraces diversity and inclusion.
- Partner with general education teachers and support staff to ensure students’ success across settings.
- Encourage social skills development and facilitate behavioral interventions when appropriate.
