Clinical Nurse Manager - Outpatients

Unit/Division: Royal Perth Hospital > Next Step Drug & Alcohol Service This is a Permanent, Full-Time position working 76 hours per fortnight. This position is based in the Perth CBD. Position Profile We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to appoint to a Clinical Nurse Manager (Outpatients) working at Next Step Drug & Alcohol Services. The Clinical Nurse Manager (Outpatients) is responsible for the coordination, leadership, and supervision of staff within their remit in the Next Step Service. In this role, the successful applicant will contribute to the development and monitoring of standards of nursing practice, initiating research and quality improvement activities, and implementing changes which benefit service provision. Additionally, the successful applicant will provide clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence‑based care is delivered to consumers and coordinates day‑to‑day operations. The Clinical Nurse Manager is required to practise within their scope of practice, considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart. Other key duties include, but are not limited to: Provides and oversees highly skilled interventions in the management and treatment of alcohol and other drug disorders. Works in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, providing clinical alcohol and other drug assessments and providing advice to clinicians (including local hospitals and non‑government service providers) about the recommended consumer management plans and facilities transfers as required. Area Profile Next Step is the leading government drug and alcohol treatment service in Western Australia providing a range of clinical services. The treatment services provided by Next Step include: Outpatient services at East Perth and via integrated Community Alcohol and Drug Services at six metropolitan locations The Inpatient Withdrawal Unit at East Perth An onsite pharmacy service based at East Perth Outpatient and inpatient youth services via the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Youth Service. Community programs including the Community Pharmacotherapy Program and the Clinical Advisory Service.
