Job Description

Our Greensboro, NC Division is accepting applications for an entry level Trailer Repair/Welder who can perform the following duties:

• 6 months - 2 years experience in all areas of SMAW, GMAW.
  • Ability accurately use of multiple types of oxy acetylene, plasma, and air arc cutting and gouging apparatus.
  • Able to tolerate hot environments.
  • Solid how to and physical ability to use various electrical and pneumatic grinders, saws, drills, porta-powers.
  • Good skills in metal structure restoration, fabrication, and repair.
  • Good housekeeping and strong work ethic.
  • Good driving record and valid NC drivers license.
  • Must participate in a random company-wide drug test program.
  • Able to lift 100 lbs. from the ground and be able to get up into trucks and/or heavy equipment to move or reposition work.
  • Must be agile and able to work in somewhat contortioned positions when welding or cutting
  • Must retain own basic hand tools of the trade
  • Ability to use a PC is a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to read and write to fill out repair orders.
  A welder should be able to interact with many different personalities. He/she should be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. This position reports to the shop foreman, but works closely with other shop staff, mechanics and welders. This is a first shift; full time position based in Greensboro but can require short-term work out of state from time to time. This is an hourly compensated position.
