The Opportunity

At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team partners with businesses to identify risks, protect assets, and deliver insurance solutions that support long-term success. As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate expirations with producers and obtain information needed for renewal and new business
• Manage day-to-day client communications, providing timely responses and resolving service issues
• Review policies and endorsements for accuracy in rating, coverage, and compliance
• Market new and renewal business, request carrier bids, verify specifications, and negotiate pricing and coverage terms
• Lead the renewal process, including strategy development, proposal preparation, presentation materials, and client meetings
• Provide service for assigned clients, including claims assistance, policy changes, certificates, auto ID cards, and other documentation
• Maintain accurate client records, document interactions, and manage follow-up activities in AMS360, Applied Epic, or another agency management system
• Follow agency errors and omissions guidelines while maintaining complete and orderly electronic and paper files

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
• 2 to 3 years of commercial lines account management experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting and coverages
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities

Work Arrangement: This position is Hybrid.

• Hybrid: This role follows a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work based on business needs and manager expectations.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to support office implementations, training, and collaboration with project teams.
