About the Role

The Company is seeking a Treasurer to join its Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished and strategic financial leader with a collaborative approach to governance. The Treasurer will work closely with the Board Chair, Finance Committee, CEO, COO, and Head of Finance to provide governance oversight of the organization's financial health, sustainability, and long-term strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring sound financial stewardship, robust risk management, and effective fiduciary oversight in support of the company's mission to advance biomedical discovery through open science and collaboration. Applicants for the Treasurer position should have senior financial leadership experience and deep expertise in financial governance, budgeting, audit, risk management, and strategic financial planning. The role requires the ability to interpret complex financial information, provide thoughtful challenge and guidance at the Board level, and ideally, experience with federal government funding and contracts. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to the Board and executive leadership, demonstrating sound judgment, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the mission of the company.
