Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Bell Gardens, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy transportation location where you will help manage access control, monitor activity, and support security-related procedures for employees, visitors, and drivers. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, gates, docks, and/or operational spaces.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, parking areas, and perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions involving vehicle traffic, cargo activity, and/or pedestrian movement.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
