L&D RN Labor and Delivery
Schedule: Some weekend shifts required
Assignment Details:
- Expected ratios: Labor 1:2; Antepartum 1:3
Requirements:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- Experience with high-risk labor and delivery management
- Familiarity with fetal monitoring and antepartum care
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients in labor and delivery, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Manage high-risk antepartum cases including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and multiple gestations.
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using appropriate techniques.
- Assist during C-sections and provide post-operative care.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
- Perform newborn assessments and support neonatal resuscitation efforts.
Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation hours: 12
- References required: 2 covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must list requested time off (RTO) at the time of submission; post-submission RTO may not be approved
- Compliance documents due Monday prior to start
