These positions work closely with other team members, internal clients, and external service providers (auditors, consultants, etc.) to better understand risk and carry out engagements./ppPRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:/ppPerforming internal auditing and consulting engagements of technological, financial, and operational areas, with a focus on financial, as part of the annual engagement plan:/ppo Research engagement and activity topics/ppo Analyze systems, processes, and controls/ppo Document procedures performed/pp Communicate results/pp Collaborate with external auditors/pp Other miscellaneous activities (community service events, draft financial statement review, etc...)/ppEDUCATION, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:/ppBachelors Degree in Accounting; or four year degree with a concentration/major in Accounting./ppPreferred:/ppMasters Degree with a concentration in related technology or business discipline./ppWorking towards certifications and/or achievement of multiple certifications demonstrating a breadth of knowledge over internal audit, business, technology, and/or project management are preferred: e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, PMP/ppEXPERIENCE:/ppPreferred:/ppRelated experience consisting of external financial auditing (e.g., public accounting); Experience in the utility industry is preferred, including: information technology, accounting, finance, and operations./ppCo-op or intern experience in an audit position./ppExperience with merger and acquisition activity is highly desired/ppKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES:/ppRequired:/ppKnowledge of basic information system components, including: networks, operating systems, databases, and applications, and related risks/ppKnowledge of fundamental accounting and financial transaction principles/ppKnowledge of financial auditing concepts, techniques, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and general accepted auditing standards (GAAS)/ppKnowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO)/ppExcellent oral and written communication skills/ppExcellent investigative, problem solving, and analytical skills/ppAbility to leverage computer-assisted auditing techniques for data analysis/ppAbility to work well independently and part of a team./ppAbility to multi-task and work on multiple priorities simultaneously./ppAbility to model procedures, processes, and financial transactions./ppPreferred:/ppKnowledge of project management best practices/ppKnowledge of SDLC concepts and risks/ppKnowledge of IIA standards/ppKnowledge of utility industry regulatory accounting requirements (e.g., FERC USoA)/ppKnowledge of the following systems and technologies:/pp SAP ERP (FI/CO, SC, HCM), BW, BPC, GRC, HANA/pp ACL/pp Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM)/pp Energy Trading and Risk Management Systems (ETRM)/pp Ability to use scripting and query languages: e.g., VBA, SQL/ppDIMENSIONS:/ppAbility to Learn, Communication / Presentation Skills, Judgment, Ownership Excellence, Produce Results, Teamwork/ppRegards,/ppSweta Verma/pp732-549-5907/p/div
