*Job Description*

Cherenzia Excavation is seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to

maintain and repair our fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate

will have experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy-duty

equipment.

*Responsibilities*

* Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment
* Perform preventative maintenance and routine service
* Troubleshoot engine, transmission, hydraulic, electrical, brake, and A/C systems
* Conduct inspections and ensure equipment meets safety and DOT requirements
* Maintain a safe and organized work environment

*Qualifications*

* 3–5 years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment repair experience preferred
* Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems
* Valid driver’s license required
* CDL and Medical Card preferred
* Rhode Island Inspection License and DOT Brake Certification are a plus
* Experience with CAT, Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptops, or similar diagnostic software preferred
* Must have basic hand and pneumatic tools
