Mechanical Engineer II

Requisition Number: 21301 Company: Westinghouse Electric Co Location: Rock Hill, SC, US & Cranberry Township, PA Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II The Mechanical Engineer II will report to the Lead Engineer for Co‑Generation and Advanced BOP Mechanical & Chemical Process Engineering and will perform engineering activities to ensure standards and industry‑specific engineering activities are met. Hybrid schedule: 2 days per week on‑site at the Westinghouse facility in Rock Hill, SC or Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA. No relocation will be provided. Only candidates authorized to work without sponsorship are considered. Key Responsibilities Engineering, procurement and implementation to maintain long‑term operations of existing power plants including legacy Westinghouse designs. Design thermal‑fluid systems, equipment sizing and specification, procurement package development, incorporation of supplier data, and coordination for integrated engineering. Engineering design development, site walk‑downs, interpretation of design drawings, manage design changes, and respond to support requests. Collect and compile data for design development, technical summaries, and project reports. Assist with proposals, labor & material estimates, and design packages. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. 3–6 years’ experience. Knowledge of mechanical engineering design codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, ANSI, ASHRAE, HEI. Understanding of how other disciplines’ drawings (Electrical, Civil, Structural) impact design. Willingness to work toward EIT/FE. Ability to maintain unescorted access to power plants. Ability to travel. Salary: $69,200 to $86,500 per year, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
