Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency DepartmentWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This position requires a strong clinical background and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department.Administer blood products and manage central lines.Perform phlebotomy and start IVs as necessary.Conduct continuous IV sedation, administer IV vasopressors, and carry out procedural sedation.Manage patients on CPAP/BiPAP, interpret ABGs, and care for ventilated patients.Conduct triage as required and respond to urgent care needs efficiently.Working ConditionsThis position requires working night shifts, specifically 7 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 hour schedule. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is also necessary, with a minimum commitment of 8 weekend shifts per contract. There may be a requirement to float as needed.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.Strong clinical skills in emergency care, including the ability to manage high-acuity patients effectively.Patient Care RatiosThe nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.Start DateWe are looking to fill this position urgently, with a target start date of October 26 or as soon as possible.This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced nurses and first-time travelers willing to embrace new challenges in a dynamic environment.
