Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to support complex, facility‑based engineering projects across critical infrastructure systems. This role is ideal for a hands‑on mechanical engineer with strong project coordination experience in heavy industrial or facilities environments who is comfortable owning technically complex systems and interfacing with multiple oversight groups. You will be responsible for managing mechanical systems from design through execution, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support projects involving a wide range of mechanical systems and industrial equipment, including: ○ Water systems (fire protection, potable water, sewage) ○ Compressed gas systems (nitrogen, argon, oxygen, propane) ○ Compressed air systems (high‑pressure and low‑pressure) ○ Boiler and steam systems ○ HVAC and industrial ventilation ○ Submarine support systems (land‑based steaming, saltwater cooling) ○ Wastewater treatment and water purification systems
• Serve as the primary mechanical engineering point of contact for assigned projects
• Support design reviews, equipment inspections, system troubleshooting, and field execution
• Ensure systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
• Maintain project documentation and provide clear technical communication to stakeholders
