Field Engineer 3 | Groton, Connecticut, United States Field Engineer 3 - Computer Support | Groton, CT (Contract) About the Role: Join a dynamic technology services team as a Field Engineer 3, providing essential on-site support for computer hardware, software, and networking systems. You will work directly with enterprise clients, ensuring seamless operation of desktops, laptops, servers, and network devices. This role offers hands-on experience, exposure to a wide range of IT environments, and the opportunity to develop technical troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities: - Install, diagnose, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and network devices at client locations - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues beyond standard Help Desk escalation - Perform disk replacements on enterprise storage systems and manage legacy product support - Execute installs, moves, adds, and changes for IT equipment and software as required - Test, certify, and optimize PCs, networks, servers, and applications per client standards - Maintain accurate and timely updates in the incident and request ticketing system - Ensure service delivery meets client-specific Service Level Agreements - Follow up on escalated issues, providing solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction - Uphold professionalism in all interactions, appearance, and communication Required Skills and Experience: - 1-3 years of hands-on computer support experience - Proficient in basic hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and servers - Experience with installation and maintenance of PCs, networks, and related peripherals - Familiarity with disk replacement and maintenance of enterprise storage products - Strong organizational skills and work ethic - Excellent communication and customer service abilities Preferred Skills: - Experience supporting legacy hardware and software - Exposure to server and network infrastructure maintenance - Familiarity with ITIL-based ticketing systems Benefits: - Opportunity to expand technical skills in enterprise environments - Collaborative and supportive team culture - Exposure to diverse technologies and real-world troubleshooting scenarios - Career growth potential through hands-on experience and client-facing work How to Apply: Ready to take your IT support career to the next level?
