The Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Charge Entry Specialist to join our team. In this role, your primary focus will be the rapid and accurate entry of medical charges and claims for our Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Chronic Care Management (CCM) service lines. The ideal candidate will possess advanced computer proficiency, hands-on experience with NextGen software, and a strong comfort level handling high-volume data entry for Medicare care management programs. Key Responsibilities High-Volume Charge Entry: Accurately enter and submit daily charges and professional claims for RPM and CCM services utilizing NextGen practice management software. Code Implementation: Apply provided procedural and diagnosis codes (including CPT/HCPCS codes 99453, 99454, 99457, 99458, 99490, and 99439) swiftly and accurately into the billing system. Data Verification: Review clinical documentation briefly to verify that the correct patient demographics, provider information, and care management codes match before final submission. Claim Edits & Pre-Submission Corrections: Identify and correct immediate front-end errors or missing information on claims prior to submission to minimize initial rejections. Documentation: Maintain clean, accurate, and organized electronic records within the practice management system. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 1+ years of charge entry/data entry experience required. Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience and proficiency with NextGen Billing Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Medicare billing guidelines, particularly those related to non-face-to-face care management programs (RPM, CCM). Coding Certification (Preferred): Certification in medical coding and billing (e.g., CPC, CPC-A, RHIT, or CCS preferred).
