Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Missouri or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: Teamwork skills Positive attitude Customer service orientation Willingness to work with fast-track, triage, and high acuity patients Description: The role is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse working 3 shifts per week. Shifts are from 06:45 to 19:15. The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1:3. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Floating between departments may be necessary based on patient volume. The unit serves a variety of patients including neonates, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 75 patients. The environment requires quick thinking and a strong focus on patient care. The nurse will need to perform triage as well as care for high-acuity patients. Team collaboration and effective communication are essential for success in this role.
