Principal Financial AnalystAs a Principal Financial Analyst working in our Consumer Deposits revenue business, you will analyze financial performance, management reports, products and processes. You will forecast important business variables, gather and aggregate data results, generate monthly/quarterly business reviews, and make business recommendations. Additionally, you will develop processes that provide transparency of costs and cost drivers to recipient businesses, and analyze current financial results to identify and address evolving business issues and opportunities. You will be asked to challenge our current well-managed processes to be more proactive, effective and efficient. You will provide management and business clients with project statuses as well as perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests.Roles require strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insightsPartner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organizationDevelop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiencesGeneral Responsibilities:Financial analysis & reporting: Accurately analyze & explain key cost drivers and monthly variances, suggest actions to the business, and manage the regular reporting processBudgeting, forecasting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) managementBusiness presentations: Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teamsAd-hoc requests and special projectsIndependently manage and prioritize workloadBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 3 years of experience in financial analysisAt least 3 years of experience with financial modelingPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in FinanceChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license4+ years of experience in financial analysis4+ years of experience with financial modeling3+ years of experience in strategic analysis & planningExperience with Google Suite (GoogleDocs, GoogleSheets, GoogleSlides)At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.This role is hybrid meaning associates will spend 3 days per week in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Chicago, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Financial AnalystMcLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Financial AnalystRichmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Financial AnalystCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
