New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. # of Positions: 1 Work Location: San Luis Obispo County Telework: Hybrid Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Work Week: Monday - Friday Job Description And Duties The Analyst I will be directed by the Senior Psychologist Supervisor in Forensic Services at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to: Monitor and track forensic referrals as they are submitted to the Forensic Services Department, as well as any referrals submitted for evaluation coverage Review case records to determine which records evaluators will require to complete assigned evaluation and provide said documents expeditiously. Assess civil service workload in collaboration with Legal desks and management to ensure equitable distribution of assignments and to appropriately utilize contract evaluators in accordance with policy Assess civil service workload in collaboration with Legal desks and management to ensure equitable distribution of assignments and to appropriately utilize contract evaluators in accordance with policy Learn, understand, retain, and recall a broad range of highly technical data and apply it to individual cases Process monthly invoices in accordance with department practices to ensure correct billing amounts including validation of billings submitted by contract evaluators and process through DSH-A Accounting Maintain an accurate detailed database for tracking and reporting to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the State Authorized Risk Assessment Tool for Sex Offenders (SARATSO) Employ office organizational skills to assist with departmental duties Eligibility: To be considered for this career opportunity, applicants must have eligibility by way of one of the following: reachable on a certification list, have transfer eligibility, or have reinstatement eligibility.
