This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.The Manufacturing Engineer will support out Harness Work Center (HWC) in our Space Superiority Division.This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.In this job, you will:Authors and maintains production plans that detail the assembly of spacecraft hardwareParticipates in design peer reviews to ensure designs are manufacturable and engineering documentation aligns with strict processes and proceduresEvaluates non-conforming product and develops rework procedures to return fit/form/function to flight hardwarePartners with cross-functional groups to conduct root cause and corrective action investigationsOptimizes operational workflow by developing manufacturing processes and introducing new tools and techniques for harness fabricationResponds to changing design requirements at all stages of the build process by revising production plans and returning product to the intended flight configurationDesigns and constructs full-scale mock-ups resembling spacecraft structure to aid in the manufacturing of exact-fit harnessing.Provides direct support to Technicians on the manufacturing floor in a rapid-pace environmentActs as manufacturing lead on assigned programs to ensure roadblocks are quickly alleviated while maintaining budget and scheduleSupports additional activities identified by managementEnsures processes and procedures comply with industry and internal standardsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
