$70K–$100K/year, all in — hourly pay plus a bumped rate on every billed hour over 40 100% company-paid healthcare, including family coverage Dental and vision available as add-ons Profit sharing for retirement — 100% employer-funded, you contribute nothing 96 hours of PTO from day one (no waiting period, increases after 5 years) 9 paid holidays a year No weekends. YOU WILL LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY – There's real variety here — Subaru, Toyota, GM, and everything in between. If you want to try something you haven't done before, like your first timing belt, we'll give you the time to do it right instead of rushing you through it. YOU WILL BE APPRECIATED (OPEN DOOR POLICY) – This is a small, independent shop where you lead the job. Our manager Daryl and service writer Dan are usually just feet away and available to help — nobody's left to figure things out alone. Your ideas get heard and acted on; the shop's current processes exist because a past lead tech pushed for them. WE WILL HELP YOU BECOME MORE VALUABLE (WE INVEST IN YOU) – We pay for your ASE testing, plus a $100 bonus every time you pass one. We've sent techs to Vision and Autel training, and every year the whole team goes to a company-wide training summit. WE PROVIDE A SAFE AND PRODUCTIVE WORKING ENVIRONMENT – Uniforms provided. The shop is well-stocked with updated tools, and we buy the specialty stuff — you're not expected to bankroll a timing belt tool for a one-off job out of your own pocket. NO DRAMA – We're a team, not a bunch of guys competing for the same jobs. When it's an all-hands job, it’s all hands. Nobody's grinding it out alone while everyone else watches. We've been the shop on Main Street in downtown Damariscotta since 1946. Same little building since the 1930s. Same name on the sign the whole time. Our manager, Daryl, started here in high school back in '96 and never really left — he worked his way up, and he still climbs under a hood himself when the shop gets busy. We're not the biggest shop around, and we don't want to be. Two bays, soon to be three, and we'd rather do this really well than get big and sloppy. WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SHINE IN THIS ROLE

3-5 years of experience in a professional shop, with a solid handle on brake work and front-end repairs Comfortable with diagnostics and testing — bonus if you know your way around a digital voltmeter and a scan tool You take DVIs seriously and understand why we do them, not just that we do them You're honest about what you can and can't do. We'd rather know now than find out later You're open to learning something new, even if it means asking for help or taking a little extra time to get it right You keep a level head. This is a small shop where everyone's close by, so a bad attitude has nowhere to hide NOW… if you're the kind of tech who name-drops every certification you've never actually used, or who "already knows everything," this probably isn't the right fit.
