Director of Accounting

We are partnering with a rapidly growing organization seeking a Director of Accounting to lead the accounting function and support the company's continued expansion. Growth is being driven through both organic initiatives and acquisitions, making this an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on accounting leader who enjoys building processes, improving efficiencies, and helping scale a business. This is an onsite position, five days per week Key Responsibilities Lead the day‑to‑day accounting function, including the month‑end close and financial reporting Oversee the general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation in accordance with U.S. GAAP Manage the annual audit and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes Oversee cash management and support budgeting and forecasting activities Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to enhance the accounting function Participate in acquisition activities, including financial due diligence, integration, and accounting for newly acquired businesses Support the company as it continues to scale through both organic growth and M&A Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team Partner with executive leadership on financial and operational initiatives Qualifications CPA required 10+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience with ownership of the close process and financial reporting Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Experience managing audits and working with external accounting firms Experience in a multi‑entity environment is preferred ERP experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus Experience supporting acquisitions, integration efforts, or other high‑growth initiatives is a plus Manufacturing, distribution, or other operational industry experience is preferred A proactive, hands‑on leader who enjoys improving processes, building teams, and helping organizations scale Must be comfortable working onsite five days per week #J-18808-Ljbffr
