. This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to deliver high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will provide immediate medical attention to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries, working alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient safety, timely diagnosis, and effective treatment outcomes in urgent care settings.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate assessment and treatment for emergency patients
• Diagnose and manage acute medical conditions and injuries
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging
• Perform emergency medical procedures as required
• Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals or admissions
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and support staff
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Participate in shift handovers and team briefings
• Respond to urgent and critical care situations promptly
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
• Associate-level experience in Emergency Medicine
• Valid medical license to practice
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Willingness to work on-site in Florence
• Availability for contract-based scheduling
• Level II Trauma

Schedule: 11p-7a, including weekends

No call requirement

Annual Volume: 75K patients

Patient Population: All ages, high-acuity

Must be comfortable with all emergency medicine procedures

Support Staff: Physicians, APPs, APP extenders, and scribes

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

CSR and DEA required

Paid travel & expenses
