Are you someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and providing excellent service? Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District is seeking a Customer Services Representative I to join our Community Engagement team.This position plays an important role in creating a positive experience for District customers and the public. As a key first point of contact, you will assist customers with questions, provide information about District services, support retail billing and payment activities, update customer information, research routine customer concerns, and help ensure customers are connected with the right resources.We are looking for someone who communicates well, enjoys working with people, can manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in providing professional, responsive, and courteous service.What You'll DoProvide friendly, professional assistance to customers by phone and in person.Respond to customer questions and provide information about District services and retail billing.Assist with customer accounts, payments, account updates, and other customer service transactions.Research routine payment, billing, and water service questions and help resolve customer concerns.Use District software systems to support customer service, billing, and account activities.Process and maintain accurate records for customer payments, cash transactions, and deposits.Communicate with customers and District staff to ensure questions and requests are handled accurately and promptly.Welcome and assist visitors, vendors, Board members, and other members of the public and connect them with the appropriate District staff or services.Support scheduling, correspondence, data entry, records management, mail, deliveries, and other administrative activities that contribute to efficient customer service operations.Identify issues requiring additional attention and appropriately escalate customer concerns or other important matters.Work collaboratively with Customer Services staff and other departments while looking for opportunities to improve processes and service.What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will be customer-focused, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important, along with the ability to remain professional and helpful when assisting customers who may be confused or upset.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.One year of similar experience preferred.Ability to provide courteous and professional service to customers and the public.Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions while maintaining accuracy.Basic computer, keyboarding, and math skills.Ability and willingness to learn specialized customer service and utility billing software.Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position working regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, answering questions, solving everyday customer issues, and helping provide a positive customer experience while supporting the daily operations of Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District.Applicants who are selected for employment with our organization may be subject to a background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
