You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors through exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment and perform armed post duties in accordance with applicable laws, training, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least six months of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
