Accounts Payable Specialist

A rapidly growing commercial construction design company located south of Austin has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist. We are looking for candidates who have a positive, friendly attitude and who work well in a team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in accounts payable processes, ensuring timely input of vendor invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is essential for supporting the overall accounting team and requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Duties Required:

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records vendor billing across multiple companies.
• Validate and record payments and transactions related to accounts payable.
• Reviews monthly customer statements for accuracy and compares them to received and posted vendor invoices.
• Copies, files, and retrieves documents for accounts payable.
• Timely monthly bank account and credit card reconciliation.
• Assist in month end and year end accounting closings, adhering to all applicable deadlines.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years high-volume Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and highly proficient Excel.
• Experience with some type of ERP system (preferred)
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and associates.

Location, Salary, Hours, etc:

• Role will be 100% in-office at their Buda location (78610 zip)
• Salary will be $47.8 - $56.1K, DOE ($23-$27/hr)
• Eligible for OT pay
• Excellent Benefits including 401K Company Match, Medical/Dental/Vision, PTO
• Hours will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
