Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity, situated conveniently near Stanton, MI, focuses on providing individualized instruction and support to a small caseload of 3-6 students. Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in special education or a closely related field
• Active special education teaching license in Michigan
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and behavior management for students with diverse needs
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to each student’s IEP
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students’ unique learning needs
• Implement effective classroom management and foster a supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
• Maintain accurate progress records, IEP documentation, and regular communications with stakeholders
• Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development

This position begins August 13, 2026, and concludes June 4, 2027. You will work 7.25 billable hours per day (excluding an unpaid lunch) across a standard 5-day workweek, with scheduled holidays and breaks observed.
