Senior Product Specialist - Ratings Advisory (New York)

Job Description:Role Overview:Senior member of the Ratings Advisory team responsible for advising corporate issuers across the full credit spectrum — from high-grade through crossover and high-yield — on the ratings implications of their financing and strategic decisions. The role combines rigorous credit analysis, agency relationship management, and cross-product capital markets partnership, and requires the ability to manage several client engagements and live transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced deal environment.Key Responsibilities:• Analyze corporate credit across investment-grade, crossover, and high-yield issuers, acting as an internal proxy for the credit rating agencies (Moody's, S&P and Fitch) during deal reviews, ratings assessments, and pitch preparation.• Advise senior executive management — including CFOs and boards — of both new and seasoned corporate capital markets issuers on the ratings implications of new debt and equity issuances, merger and acquisition activity, shareholder enhancement strategies, and shifts in corporate financial policy.• Support a broad range of transaction types, from large, transformational M&A and leveraged buyouts to recapitalizations, dividend recaps, refinancings, liability management exercises, and hybrid and structured capital solutions, tailoring the ratings analysis to each situation.• Manage multiple client relationships and live projects concurrently, prioritizing across competing deal timelines while maintaining a high standard of analytical rigor and responsiveness.• Develop and present ratings strategy, agency positioning, and rating-outcome scenarios, and lead clients through the ratings process — including preparing rating agency presentations, coaching management teams, and accompanying clients to agency meetings.• Serve as the primary interface with the rating agencies on behalf of clients, building and maintaining agency relationships and advocating for the client's credit story throughout the ratings process.• Work with clients and internal deal teams — including capital markets, coverage, M&A and product partners — to structure solutions that best meet the client's corporate finance objectives while optimizing ratings outcomes.• Play an active role in cross-selling the firm's capital markets products to ratings advisory clients, identifying financing, hedging, and balance-sheet opportunities that align with each issuer's ratings goals.• Interface with clients across the full engagement lifecycle — during new business pitches, throughout the ratings process, and after a transaction has closed — to answer ongoing questions about their ratings, agency methodology changes, and interactions with the rating agencies.• Monitor rating agency methodology updates, sector trends, and peer developments, and proactively communicate relevant implications to clients and internal teams.Qualifications / Attributes:• Deep understanding of rating agency methodologies and the credit implications of capital structure, M&A, and financial policy decisions across the full credit spectrum.• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex credit analysis into clear, actionable advice for senior client stakeholders.• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a high-volume environment.• Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the credibility to advise executive management and engage directly with the rating agencies.• Extensive credit experience requiredShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40Pay Transparency detailsUS - NY - New York - ONE BRYANT PARK - BANK OF AMERICA TOWER (NY1100)Pay and benefits informationPay range$275,000.00 - $350,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.Discretionary incentive eligibleThis role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
