With the support of more than 30,000 team members, we promote a forward-thinking philosophy that's built on a foundation of trust, dignity, respect, responsibility and clinical excellence.BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our outstanding and compassionate team at St. Joseph's Behavioral Health Center!Mental Health Technician Position Details:Facility: St. Joseph's Behavioral Health CenterLocation: Tampa, FLStatus: Full time, HourlyShift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PMWeekend Work: Every OtherOn Call: NoThe Mental Health Technician Responsibilities:Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.Required Certification/Licensures:BLS (Basic Life Support)CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferredPatient Care Technician - preferredRequired Education:High School or EquivalentAssociate's degree in related field - PreferredBachelor's degree in related field- PreferredRequired Experience:6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related fieldBenefits:Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)Paid time offTuition reimbursement401k match and additional yearly contributionYearly performance appraisals and team award bonusCommunity discounts and moreAND the chance to be part of an amazing team and a great place to workCome join our wonderful team!
