Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director to lead the AI science team building an enterprise world model and agentic learning capability for the R&D platform. The role involves designing how agents represent domain knowledge, enable continuous improvement from operation, and maintain expert authority while scaling scientific judgment.

Responsibilities

Design knowledge representation and reasoning mechanisms for enterprise world model
Establish technical direction for agentic learning systems that improve from operational use
Lead AI science team developing reusable, customizable foundation for R&D agentic AI platform
Partner with domain experts to encode their judgment consistently at scale
Define evaluation frameworks proving system produces better decisions over time

Requirements

Leadership experience building and scaling AI/ML science teams
Expertise in knowledge representation, reasoning systems, or semantic technologies
Experience designing learning systems that improve from operational feedback
Strong background in machine learning, AI systems, or computational sciences
Demonstrated ability to partner with domain experts and translate their judgment into systems
Track record defining and implementing accountability frameworks for AI systems
