As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral health programs for HHSC Kaua'i Region by providing direct assessment, therapy, and group therapy services to individuals with Dual Diagnosis Use Disorders (SUD) and Severe Mental Illness (SMI) in adult and adolescent programs. This includes inpatient, intensive outpatient, group, family, and individual outpatient settings. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individual treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions and counseling to clients and their families, and collaborate with nursing and medical staff to plan and deliver psychiatric patient care. Additionally, you will advocate for clients, connect them with community resources, document progress and outcomes to enhance the quality of care, and perform other assigned duties. Please note that this position is regional and may require long hours, weekend and holiday work, and travel to various facilities within the region to meet patient care needs. THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited institution with a degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Social Work. CERTIFICATION: Current and valid certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers. PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Eligibility for credentialing with all insurance payors.
