You'll develop and support advanced automated test systems used in the production of our cutting-edge body-worn cameras, smart weapons, and other connected devices. Your work will directly impact our ability to scale with quality, reliability, and speed.What You'll DoLocation: Onsite at our Pinnacle location in Phoenix, AZ Reports to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Video Direct Reports: N/ADesign, develop, and maintain robust automated test systems for Axon's manufacturing lines, leveraging LabVIEW and TestStandCollaborate with cross-functional teams—hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing—to define test strategies and implement scalable solutionsDrive continuous improvement in test coverage, reliability, and efficiency to meet Axon's quality and throughput goalsSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing and deploying test systems that scale from prototype to mass productionTroubleshoot complex test issues and perform root cause analysis on hardware and system-level failuresGenerate detailed test documentation and support the training of technicians and operatorsCreate Statements of Work (SOW) and other technical specifications for third party integrators.Perform design reviews, software audits and acceptance testing with third party integrators.Collaborate on mechanical fixture design.Analyze test data, generate reports, and provide feedback to engineering and quality teams.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field8+ years of progressive experience in test engineering, with a proven track record in developing and leading automated test solutions for electronic hardware, preferably in manufacturing environments5+ years of advanced, hands-on experience with LabVIEW for complex test and measurement systems, including architecture design, reusable code modules, real-time data acquisition, instrument drivers, user interfaces, and integration with external hardware.2+ years (ideally 4+ years at senior level) of experience with NI TestStand for architecting, sequencing, deploying, and maintaining automated test executive systems; strong proficiency in custom step types, code modules, process models, report generation, and database integration.Ability to read, interpret, and critique electrical schematics; design, build, debug, and optimize custom test fixtures of medium complexity; troubleshoot hardware faults at component and system levels to root cause; ensure fixture reliability, repeatability, and safety in production environments for a range of electronic products.Solid understanding of manufacturing test methods for digital and analog electronicsExcellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesPassion for Axon's mission and a desire to work on impactful, real-world productsBenefits that Benefit YouCompetitive salary and 401k with employer matchDiscretionary paid time offPaid parental leave for allMedical, Dental, Vision plansFitness ProgramsEmotional & Mental Wellness supportLearning & Development programsAnd yes, we have snacks in our officesBenefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work.Don't meet every single requirement?
