About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Counsel to provide expert legal guidance and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters, including but not limited to, contract negotiations, compliance issues, and risk management. The General Counsel will also be tasked with providing strategic legal advice to the executive team and ensuring that the organization's activities are in line with all relevant laws and regulations. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the bar. A minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with a focus on corporate and commercial law, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a leadership role, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in the education or non-profit sector is a plus.
