Survey Technician Role Description: Huitt-Zollars, Inc. has an immediate full-time office Survey Technician opportunity in our Phoenix, Arizona office. The successful candidate will have office technical experience in all phases of land surveying, construction, and topographic surveying. Location: Phoenix, Arizona Employment Type: 40 FT Hours Compensation Type: Salary Registration(s): Not Required Education: High School diploma or GED required Duties: Independently perform office-based technical surveying assignments such as calculations, CAD based drafting, contour surface creation and processing, as well as processing and delivering ALTA/NSPS surveys. Assist in the preparation of survey drawings using AutoCAD software. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Trimble Business Center software and applicable platforms. Review and process the results of field survey data for office based technical processing. Review and process office data for field survey operations to facilitate the success of field operators including downloading and uploading survey data to data collectors and office computers. Search public records to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed. Ensure schedules and productivity objectives set by a supervisor for survey projects are achieved. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of land surveying experience. High School diploma or GED required. Working knowledge of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) and the BLM Survey Manual. Highly motivated with a willingness to study for the LSIT test. Ability to work well in a team environment.
