Delivery Coordinator

Position Summary We are looking for a Delivery Coordinator (Delco) to ensure the timely delivery of products and to communicate statuses and delivery plans to the Customer Service Representatives and the Delivery Assurance Manager. The Delco is the main point of contact for internal customers. Responsibilities Coordinate and direct internal and external customer orders through the manufacturing process. Respond to delivery‑related or product‑related inquiries as needed, including direct communication with plant operations, shipping, and quality. Engage daily with the Delivery Assurance Manager to identify delivery risks, barriers, and status. Identify obstacles early, work to resolve them, and escape when necessary. Participate in resolution of process flow routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely completion (e.g., horse blankets, LOB, etc.). Communicate clear and timely status through tools to upstream customers. Work closely with site operations to ensure stable workflow of orders, priorities, and stock management (e.g., stagnant WIP, work order issues, holds). Coordinate with Master Schedulers, Materials Managers and Central Planning Manager. Schedule production using site scheduling tools, adhering to capacity and site limitations. Participate in cross‑functional discussion in delivery clinics to identify root causes and prioritized corrective actions. Update horse blanket status past due +4 weeks, reduce work orders, cut without cut slip and split work orders. Put jobs on hold as required. Update coverage files, LOBs, BP file/SPI file (monthly sales), GTG file daily with root cause and current cause. Identify critical parts and ensure they are identified on the shop floor. Visit the shop floor, work with supervisors and leads to ensure jobs are moving. Obtain timelines for critical parts from the CSR team when requested. Identify bottlenecks and issues and bring them to daily OBEYA. Handle internal company calls and update Lean DNA. Manage scrap and replace process for internal customers. Key Deliverables Update horse blanket past due +4 weeks. Reduce work orders, cut without a cut slip and split work orders. Put jobs on hold as needed. Update coverage files and LOBs. Update BP file/SPI file and GTG file daily. Identify critical parts on the shop floor. Ensure shops are moving, with timelines from supervisors. Identify bottlenecks and issues, report them daily to OBEYA. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Candidates without a diploma must complete a pre‑employment assessment. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associate’s degree in business, engineering, or materials management with a minimum of 4 years customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry, or 6 years experience with a high school diploma. Background in a manufacturing environment. Customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry. Strong communication skills, ability to interpret information orally, written, and diagram form. Excellent time management, organization, prioritization. Ability to build customer relationships. Works effectively both independently and in a team. Practical problem‑solving and decision‑making using analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Access software (desired). Presentation skills, ability to respond to questions in one‑on‑one and group settings. Understanding of process flows, lead‑times and lean principles in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of all Production Control functions. Technical knowledge of machinery and shop floor terminology. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Exposure to noise ranging from quiet to extremely loud.
