Configuration Engineer
Our client, a global leader in energy and power generation solutions, is seeking a Configuration Engineer to join their team. As a Configuration Engineer, you will be part of the Configuration Management Organization supporting the Order-to-Remittance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent collaboration skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Configuration Engineer Location: Schenectady, NY Pay Range: $35/hour
What's the Job?
- Create and maintain Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOMs) and Unit BOMs throughout the product lifecycle.
- Convert and release Manufacturing BOMs (MBOMs) through ERP systems such as PowerMax.
- Manage project structures for Steam Turbine and Generator products.
- Support Configuration Management activities, engineering changes, and BOM integrity reviews.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Project teams to ensure accurate product definition and execution.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Experience with BOM management, product definition development, and configuration management processes.
- Knowledge of ERP and/or PLM systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment.
