Licensed Practical Nurse - Behavioral Health

Job Summary Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license. Responsibilities Contributes to the assessment and ensures the well-being of patients. Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions. Performs point-of-care testing and therapeutic services. Educates patients/families about treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow-up care. Demonstrates professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model. Guides response with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to address evolving health and nursing needs. Works consistently alert and safely. Performs other duties as assigned. Education & Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing. No prior experience required. Physical Requirements Constant use of speech and oral communication. Constant standing and walking. Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0‑25 lbs. Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry. Frequent visual and auditory tasks for near and far distances. Frequent use of smell to detect odors. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects 25‑50 lbs, moving patients, bending and twisting. Occasional driving. Rare crawling and running. Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) HealthCare Provider – American Heart Association (AHA). Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure issued by a compact state. Location Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin. Schedule Full‑time (36 hours per week) Night Shift, 12‑hour shifts, 3 per week with rotating weekends/holidays.
