Manager Nursing - Progress Care

Description

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 3 years Professional nursing experience.
• 2 years Clinical experience in specific clinical area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Nursing Leadership and/or leadership certification.
• Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Admin., Business or related field.
• Upon hire: Specialty certification related to practice
• Upon hire: Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
• 3 years Supervisory/leadership experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
