Security Flex Officer $20.00/Hour

Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Job Purpose Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by monitoring and patrolling premises and personnel. Responsibilities Secure premises and personnel by monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment​ and access points; permitting entry. Maintain departmental security procedures while patrolling building lobby, floors, parking garage, loading dock, building perimeter and outer perimeter. Control traffic in unloading dock, both vehicular and pedestrian; monitor material entering or leaving dock area. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators and restraining trespassers. Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses and obtaining signatures. Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls. Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications Observational skills, judgment, objectivity, dependability, emotional control, integrity, safety management and professionalism. Physical ability to stand for long periods, climb multiple stairs, respond to emergencies promptly and lift heavy objects. Experience preferred but not required for some accounts. Valid ID or driver’s license required. Minimum 18 years old, high school diploma or GED, background and drug screen clearance. Must work all shifts, any day of the week including weekends and holidays. Flexible schedule and availability for short notice and special events.
