Assembly Worker

AssemblerThis role focuses on assembling and installing small components at a workstation in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled warehouse environment. You will follow detailed assembly instructions, perform quality inspections, and use basic hand tools and measuring devices. The position offers a steady Monday–Friday schedule on a day shift and provides full training for motivated and reliable individuals.ResponsibilitiesAssemble and install small components at a desk, working either seated or standing for extended periods throughout the day.Follow written assembly instructions, schematics, and blueprints to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies accurately.Use hand tools and a tape measure to perform precise measurements and assembly tasks.Perform quality inspections on completed assemblies to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.Identify and correctly assemble different colored wires as part of electrical assembly work.Maintain an organized and clean work area to support efficiency and safety.Work independently to complete assigned tasks while meeting production and quality targets.Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other areas of the warehouse or assembly operations as needed.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any issues, defects, or improvements related to the assembly process.Essential SkillsAbility to read and use a tape measure accurately.Ability to distinguish and correctly identify different wire colors.Comfort using basic hand tools for assembly work.Capability to follow assembly instructions, schematics, and blueprints.Attention to detail and commitment to performing thorough quality inspections.Reliability, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and work.Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.Flexibility to assist in various areas of the operation as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with mechanical assembly is beneficial.Experience with electrical assembly is beneficial.Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is an advantage.Comfort working at a desk-based workstation, either seated or standing for most of the shift.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including fully paid health insurance for both themselves and their dependents once hired directly, along with fully paid dental and vision coverage for the employee. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday on a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing consistent hours and a structured routine.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudsonville, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
