Controller

Description We are seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting function. You will ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of financial statements while overseeing accounting operations, invoicing, audit coordination, and tax compliance. As a key member of the leadership team, you will strengthen financial controls, improve processes, implement scalable systems, and build the finance capabilities needed to support the company’s continued growth. Core Job Responsibilities General accounting including general entries, revenue recognition, tracking of prepaid expenses and deferred revenue, asset management, consolidations and other accounting activities Prepare month‑end close materials in accordance with GAAP and operational financial analysis requirements Accounts Receivable automation including invoicing, tracking payments, and collections Accounts Payable automation including processing vendor invoices, validating accounting coding, and enforcing policies related to vendor payments Work directly with outside accounting firms for reviewing financial data to verify accuracy for consolidated financial statements Partner with operations team to ensure all services performed and expenses incurred are accurately reflected in financial systems, including by overseeing expense reimbursement Ensure all information needed for tax filings and regulatory requirements is properly organized and prepared Ensure compliance with all necessary policies, procedures, and internal controls; act as primary liaison with external auditor on improving financial controls, year‑end review, and project audits as required Modify or create accounting policies and procedures to be able to pass an external audit and reporting to US government clients Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits; providing and analyzing financial information to external auditor Requirements Bachelor’s degree in related field Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting 10+ years corporate accounting experience including audit experience 7+ years of management experience highly desired Ability to organize, summarize, and analyze data efficiently Advanced Excel skills Experience implementing, configuring, and automating financial systems highly desired Experience in QuickBooks Enterprise Preferred Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Data Analytics: Ability to learn and adapt to new financial modeling and reporting tools Process Improvement: Proven ability as a change agent to automate accounting workflows and implement tighter internal controls Communication: Ability to justify financial decisions and explain complex reports clearly to non‑financial stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr BAO Systems
