Job Description and Responsibilities This company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support for custom-built material testing machines. This highly autonomous role involves extensive travel (90–100%) to install, commission, service, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while ensuring customer satisfaction through technical expertise and effective communication. Candidates should be quick learners with strong troubleshooting skills in electro‑mechanical systems, able to interpret schematics and mechanical drawings, and focused on resolving issues on the first visit. A solid foundation in electrical (up to 480 V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is essential, along with the ability to train customers and manage travel independently. Schedule Schedule: Day shift Travel Travel: Ability to travel 90–100% of the time, Monday through Friday, with a company vehicle provided (personal use allowed) and all expenses reimbursed via a personal credit card. Compensation Base Pay: $75,000 Bonus: Up to $5 k in bonus for the year, paid out in five increments based on individual and company performance. Requirements Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems up to 480 V, along with hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to travel 90–100% of the time, Monday through Friday, with a company vehicle provided (personal use allowed) and all expenses reimbursed via a personal credit card. Strong independent judgment, problem‑solving skills, and excellent communication abilities to ensure high customer satisfaction.
