Job Description

The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in managing inventory, sourcing products and freight services, negotiating vendor pricing, and driving operational efficiencies across the supply chain. This position is based onsite in Boca Raton. You will work closely with vendors, fulfillment partners, shipping companies, and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate inventory, optimize costs, and support day-to-day business operations.

Responsibilities

Manage inventory levels and produce accurate inventory reporting using Excel and internal systems.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory availability across company websites and internal platforms.

Update product information within inventory and procurement systems to ensure data integrity.

Source products and freight services that support operational and business needs.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive costs and favorable conditions.

Coordinate with fulfillment houses and shipping providers to improve operational efficiencies and reduce freight and handling costs.

Prepare job quotes and pricing estimates as needed to support sales and operational activities.

Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong, productive supplier relationships.

Support cross-functional teams by collaborating with internal stakeholders on purchasing, logistics, and inventory initiatives.

Assist with additional operational and administrative tasks as required to support the broader supply chain function.

Essential Skills

Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, inventory tracking, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data analysis.

Hands-on procurement and purchasing experience with responsibility for order placement and vendor management.

Strong negotiation experience with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.

Proven experience in product and freight sourcing.

Inventory management experience, including maintaining accurate inventory levels across multiple systems and platforms.

Experience with ecommerce inventory management platforms.

Familiarity with supply chain and logistics operations, including coordination with fulfillment centers and shipping providers.

Knowledge of freight procurement and shipping processes.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal teams.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.

Experience with ERP, purchasing, or inventory management software (highly preferred).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boca Raton, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
