divh2Administrative Assistant/h2pTo perform a wide variety of secretarial and clerical duties for administrative personnel, teachers and support staff assigned to a school./ppAnswers inquiries and disseminates information to visitors, staff, students and parents either on the phone or in person./ppComposes and types memos and other correspondence./ppPrepares reports, calendars, programs, brochures and other documents./ppMaintains, submits and receives purchase orders and invoices./ppMaintains classroom and staff supplies./ppPrepares paperwork for substitute teachers and assists in placing substitutes in classrooms or splitting classes when required./ppMaintains staff attendance and personnel files./ppCoordinates time sheets and payroll procedures./ppSubmits work orders to the district./ppInterprets or translates when necessary./ppPerforms other duties as assigned./ppKnowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and software applications./ppKnowledge of office management principles and practices./ppKnowledge of customer service techniques./ppSkill in operating office equipment and computer hardware and software applications./ppSkill in interpreting and translating./ppSkill in performing mathematical computations./ppSkill in maintaining confidential information./ppSkill in composing memos, letters, reports and other documents./ppSkill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with co-workers, parents and others./ppHigh school diploma and two (2) years office experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge and skills.
