Part-Time Staff Nurse

What You Will Be Doing The campus staff nurse provides high‑quality compassionate care to the Moody community within a college‑based Health & Wellness Center. This role supports the physical and overall well‑being of students through clinical care, health education, and collaboration with campus partners while maintaining standards and compliance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act. The nurse contributes to a holistic model of care that integrates physical, emotional, and preventative health. Essential Functions Provide clinical nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and follow‑up for acute and minor illnesses and injuries. Administer medications, immunizations, perform phlebotomy, and conduct treatments in accordance with established protocols. Assist with health screenings, physical exams, and preventive care initiatives. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with legal and institutional standards. Collaborate with physicians and other health service staff. Assist with the annual State of Illinois Immunization Report by collecting and recording data. Refer students to appropriate services (e.g., triage, ER, counseling, Student Resource Center). Offer health education and coaching on topics such as nutrition and stress management. Ensure infection control practices and clinic safety standards are followed. Maintain clinic inventory of medications and supplies. Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings.
